On behalf of our investors, directors and staff, we welcome you and are pleased to have you visit our website. Community Security Bank's entrepreneurial spirit and community heritage remains strong. We opened our doors on November 10, 1997, as the only locally owned financial institution in New Prague and still remain as the only locally owned bank in the community. We are the creation of six organizers, who presented the idea to several area residents who believed our community needed the local ownership where decisions could be made by local residents, for the benefit of the community.
The bank started with 35 community investors and now has 140. In twelve years, the bank's assets have reached $120 million. We pride ourselves, working together, to meet the needs of the community. We carry this theme throughout the year, by contributing to numerous local organizations. In addition to our charitable donations, many of our directors and employees volunteer their time, symbolizing and instilling a heritage of community volunteerism. Community Security Bank continues to emphasize on service excellence, as a full service bank.
